The all NEW Hybrid Foil’s are very light weight, almost as light as the full carbon freeride model we have previously offered. Right away you notice the beautiful color scheme, quality use of aluminum/carbon materials, new rear stabilizer assembly, 90cm mast aluminum with carbon base, and the choice of either a 600 or 800 front size wing. This is the first time F-One is offering a lower aspect front wing, the 800! we are used to the 600, which is a medium aspect and known for its high performance.
F-One is the only company to put all carbon components with an aluminum mast assembly. This is the same pre-preg or forged carbon construction you will find on our high end full carbon models. The big difference being the aluminum mast which significantly lowers the price. Packages complete for board and hybrid foil start at $1999.99!
On the water the Freeride Hybrid 800 Kite Foil feels extremely stable, is very fun to ride and allows you to ride with a more relaxed stance verses the 600 front wing. The 800 front wing was built to be slower, more stable, and used for surfing waves or having the most fun while freeriding.
The 800 wing is still quite fast, and much more stable than the 600. You really feel the speed difference between the 600 and 800 wing while going up wind. The 800 is noticeably slower upwind, but by no means it is slow… I really like the feel of the 800 wing overall, I feel more confident attempting tacks and jibs on the bigger wing. It has a more stable, smooth and predictable feel compared to the 600 wing. The 600 has more bite to it and accelerates faster through the turns.
The best part of all is that all components are inter changeable so you can start with the 800 then down the road get the 600 front wing to push your performance even higher.
