Red Bull Gone With The Wind
Belgische kitesurfers kennen hem maar al te goed: de wet die hen verbiedt om bij meer dan 6 Beaufort het water op te gaan. Red Bull Gone With The Wind veegt dit letterlijk van de kaart, want van zodra er tussen oktober dit jaar en maart volgend jaar meer dan 6 Beaufort staat en storm voorspeld wordt, zullen enkele lucky few klaar staan om te strijden met en tegen de wind.
Wie zich geroepen voelt om deel te nemen, beschikt best over een stevig stel longen, een dito uithoudingsvermogen en de nodige ervaring als kitesurfer. De deelnemers moeten tijdens het eerste deel van de wedstrijd immers op het strand 1 km tegen de wind in lopen (met hun materiaal op de rug) met als doel zo snel mogelijk het check point te bereiken. Daar is het vervolgens zaak hun kite zo snel mogelijk op te tuigen, om dan met de wind mee terug te kiten naar het startpunt, terwijl ze onderweg zoveel mogelijk air time verzamelen. Bijkomende voorwaarde: alles moet gerealiseerd worden binnen een tijdslimiet van 1 uur.
De prijzen
De winnaar is diegene die binnen 1 uur het meeste airtime heeft verzameld. Hij wordt de eerste Belgische Red Bull Gone With The Wind kampioen en gaat met niet minder dan 750€ cash en een vette WOO tracker naar huis. De 2de en 3de plaats worden ook beloond met respectievelijk 400€ en 250€ cash en natuurlijk ook een WOO tracker.
De jury zal ook nog 2 deelnemers belonen met een WOO tracker voor hun uitmuntende stijl.
Na de wedstrijd is iedereen ook nog uitgenodigd voor een exclusieve afterparty. (locatie wordt nog bevestigd)
Deelnamevoorwaarden
- De wedstrijd zal doorgaan aan Surfers Paradise (Knokke-Heist) tijdens de periode van oktober 2015 tot en met februari 2016, van zodra er meer dan 6 Beaufort staat
- Maximum 20 deelnemers, die gekozen zullen worden door de Red Bull jury op basis van de vetste kitesurf foto's (op te laden via het inschrijvingsformulier)
- 16 jaar of ouder zijn
- Belg zijn
- Lid zijn van een Belgische surfclub

Our all new model is aimed at all intermediate to advanced free riders who are looking for a powerful "do it all" kite that works equally well in flat water, waves and generally hooning around enjoying the wind and elements. We believe that together with the Catalyst V1 this will be one of your best sellers and the perfect kite to offer customers looking to change their Catalyst 2015s or to choose a more performance model than the Catalyst V1.
The kite features Variable Bridle Technology giving it 3 different handling characteristics which gives a different feel that to be able to suit most riders free ride preferences. Please read the technical information further down in this newsletter.

Variable Bridle Geometry settings - quick and easy to change with no extra lines to add or remove:
Freeride – The Freeride setting offers the ideal balance in performance and feeling for all-round riding in any conditions. This is the factory setting and we recommend you try your Enduro V1 first on the Freeride setting.
Wave – The Wave setting decreases the bar pressure, and increases steering reactivity in all states of power and de-power - it is easier to turn the kite while de-powered when riding a wave.
Freestyle – The Freestyle setting increases sheeting bar pressure, increases power in the kite loop and increases pop for unhooked tricks. If you prefer a heavier and direct feel this could be the setting for you!

Time to Crown the 2015 World Tour Champions
At five fantastic kitesurfing events of the 2015 season all athletes were fighting for the titles of the World Tour. Competitions took place in Freestyle, Slalom, Wave and the 2015 re-introduced Big Air discipline. This year riders also had the chance to fight for a new overall title. With outstanding performance the World’s top kiteboarders have shown their dedication, talent and perseverance to win the titles.
